The Boatyard, ,
St Just creek is a delightful inlet off the CArrick Roads. Opposite Mylor, on the eastern shore the creek runs up to St Just church. It is exposed to the southwest but in benign weather makes a great lunchtime stop over. Julian Davy and his men offer a wide range of services at the boatyard (which occupies the southern shore line of the creek) and can usually accomodate summer vistors on swinging moorings, but phone first. Day boats and dinghys can be stored ashore for the holidays and launched daily but watch out for spring tides! If you park on the bar for the day you will be cut off by a high spring tide. This creek and boatyard has remained largely unchanged in the 30 years I have known it. It is a beautiful and peaceful setting to enjoy the best of boating, messing and pottering. An idyll!!
